ENTELLIGENCE YOUNG INVESTIGATOR PROGRAM TIMELINE

Applicants must be a United States (US) citizen, a permanent US resident, a Canadian citizen, or permanent Canadian resident. Applicants must be engaged principally in basic science, translation and/or clinical research, with a proposal aimed at understanding the pathways and pathophysiology of pulmonary vascular disease. Applicants must have no more than 5 years of experience beyond his/her first faculty appointment at the start of the award. Having received significant funding will disqualify applicant. Applicants must have completed their primary research training (PhD or sub-specialty fellowship training) by July 1st of award year. Applicants must have a firm commitment from their home institution for mentored career development. Applicants may submit only one ENTELLIGENCE research proposal per application round.

The projects must be achievable within the time frame (1 year) and budget allocation of up to $100,000. Additional funding sources are acceptable and must be clearly identified.

Description:

"ENTELLIGENCE is a program designed for basic science, translational and clinical research in the field of
cardiopulmonary medicine. The ENTELLIGENCE program provides funds to conduct research via a 12-month mentored grant to promote quality medical care and enhance patients' lives by supporting research (basic science, translational and clinical research) in the area of pulmonary hypertension (PH) related to expanding our knowledge of the pathways involved in pulmonary vascular pathobiology and ultimately, to improve treatment for patients with pulmonary hypertension."
