Description:

The Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for the Faculty Externship Program, a competitive opportunity that supports UT Dallas faculty in spending one month during Summer 2026 embedded at an industry partner or U.S. national laboratory. The program is designed to strengthen university–industry–national laboratory partnerships, accelerate translational research, and create new pathways for sponsored research, workforce development, and student engagement. Faculty participants will gain first-hand exposure to applied research environments, emerging technology needs, and organizational research cultures that can inform future research directions and educational activities at UT Dallas and other collaborative opportunities.
