Outstanding Early-Career Investigator Award

Award Info:

The annual award consists of a $5,000 cash prize, a presentation trophy and a certificate. Meeting registration fee and reasonable travel expenses to attend the Materials Research Society meeting at which the award is presented will be reimbursed.

Description:

A nominee must be a young scientist or engineer who has contributed in an outstanding and innovative way to the progress of materials research; the work should have a significant interdisciplinary aspect. The nominee shall not have reached his/her 40th birthday prior to January 1 of the year in which the award recipient is announced and the award is presented. The award is normally presented at the MRS Spring Meeting. A nominee need not be a member of the Materials Research Society, and nominees of any nationality are eligible. Current members of the MRS Outstanding Early-Career Investigator Subcommittee, MRS Board members and previous recipients of the Outstanding Early-Career Investigator Award are not eligible.
