Eligibilty:
- At the time of application, the applicant must hold a doctoral degree, have a primary faculty appointment in an allergy/immunology division/section of an academic institution, be undertaking a project related to allergic respiratory disease, and have completed a training fellowship. In addition, applicants must be an independent, self-directed researcher for whom his/her institution provides space and other resources customary for independent investigators. At the time of application, candidates must be United States citizens or foreign nationals holding visa immigration statuses (see RFA).
Award Amount:
- The award will provide each recipient with $50,000 per year for up to two years, to begin on July 1, 2022. Funds cannot be used for indirect costs.
Description:
The KidneyCure Transition to Independence Grants Program provides funding for young faculty to foster
evolution to an independent research career and a successful application for a National Institutes of Health
(NIH) full R01 grant or equivalent. By the end of the grant period, a recipient will have an independent
research career and be competitive for federal and nonfederal funding.
